Closing Down Snowdrop

Hi friends!! The Snowdrop experiment has run its course, and I’ve shut the corporate entity down. Tangled remains live at tangled-game.com, but I’ve ended the money challenge. I am pretty sure that AlphaQ Up is playing optimally.

The underlying idea is a good one (you can read about it here). I’m happy with the result. The project was enormously fun, and I learned a lot.

Pushing the idea into the quantum advantage regime would have required more (quantum) compute power than I would have reasonably been able to muster. But I think what I’ve outlined here is going to become quite important as quantum computation matures.

I’ve begun working on a new thing, more explicitly about the intersection of superintelligence and theoretical physics. It is not ready to go live yet… but I’m working on it.
